KAIWI CAROUSEL

This site is located south of Honokohau Harbor, just around Kaiwi Point at Pawai Bay. It is so named because of a pinnacle within a chamber which divers can enter and traverse like a carousel. Fish here are plentiful. As you enter the water you are greeted by multitudes of Black Durgeon and Milletseed Butterflies. As you move toward shore you will encounter shallow caves and cracks in the wall at the shore line that house a variety of crabs and juvenile fish. Dive depth: 18 to 60 feet.
